Lake Newell Resort

Local Attractions – A Lake Community that has it all.

Lake Newell Resort is located on the shores of Lake Newell, southern Alberta’s largest and warmest lake. Only ten minutes to the city of Brooks, all amenities are available, including shopping, school, churches, banking institutions, and health care. Lake Newell Resort is a short drive from several golf courses, including the Brooks Golf Course and Meadowlark Par 3.

World-class attractions are sure to keep everyone busy. Visit the Brooks Aqueduct, a national and provincial historic site, and learn how early settlers engineered amazing solutions to provide water for their crops and livestock. The area is among the richest in the world for fossils – Dinosaur Provincial Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Royal Tyrell Museum, known world-wide as the premiere palaeontology museum, are a short drive away. And Blackfoot Crossing, home of the First Nations Siksika peoples, will take you back in time to when buffalo roamed the prairies and the land was untouched by western settlers.
